The MacGuffin

It seems to me that every good dungeon raid needs a macguffin for the party to loot, and a map to the macguffin is always helpful. In this case the burial chamber is that of a hero of the first Crusade, who promised to come back and aid his knights from beyond the grave. It would be a bit easy to make it a sword, bindun quite a number of times before. Armour of course has also been done, after all, what else was Waylander hired to find.

“Professional tomb-robbers fight a sorcerous crusade to recover a priceless holy relic”

A mercenary company - led by an ex-communicated priest - find evidence of the survival of a priceless holy relic left behind in the Holy Land in the previous crusade. Narrowly escaping the clutches of a suspicious inquisitor they contract to a minor lord, they sail to the crusades, storming the beach, and fight their way across country to reach the artifact, nearly losing one of their number to ______. When they reach the artifacts burial place, they find it’s buried beneath a city of pagans, and sealed inside a tomb full of lethal traps.

After Action Report: Operation Star Crossed

The acolytes are en route to SCINTILLA when their orders from Inquiditor KAEDEN arrived, though somewhat garbled. They are to report to the LORD SECTOR GOVERNOR Prince Marius Hax‘ Orbital Palace. When their ship enters high orbit above the sector capitol, they find that due to the vagiaries of the warp, they have arrived four days early!
